摘要：The relationship between higher education and work has always been prob- lematic all over the world and throughout history. What constitutes the rela- tionship. What are the issues. This paper tries to shed some light on this issue in Japan, based on a large scale survey on college graduates and other related data. As the basis of discussion, I will lay out a simple framework of analysis (Section I), then discuss the unique characteristics of the Japanese case (Sec- tion II), and examine the challenges that Japan faces and examine some ana- lytical questions (Section III).
