其他摘要：The narratives of Avédis Terzian, a descendant of Armenian immigrants in Ethiopia, raise the question of how historians and social scientists specialising on migration should approach biographical material and the conditions influencing its production. The narrator would have liked to have written the history of his community but never translated this desire into practice. His narratives constitute a collective autobiography by proxy which merges his life story with the history of his compatriots and strives towards underlining the exemplary nature of the Armenians’ roots in Ethiopia.
