摘要：Dans la région de Salango, l’occupation territoriale préhispanique, considérée de manière diachronique, n’a pas retenu l’attention des chercheurs outre l’essai de J. Damp restreint, dans son court article de 1984, à la seule culture Valdivia. Le commerce du spondyle, le site cérémoniel Engoroy de Salango et le « Señorio de Salangome » constituent les trois thématiques les plus en vogue dans les publications concernant le sud de l’actuelle province de Manabí. C’est dans ce contexte de recherche que s’inscrit notre étude visant, par une prospection débutée en 2002, à mettre en évidence les modalités de peuplement sur près de quatre millénaires et l’importance de l’arrière-pays dans la constitution des entités socio-politiques sur le littoral équatorien.
其他摘要：The prehispanic territorial occupation In the area of Salango, considered in diachronic terms, did not attract the attention of the researchers beyond f J. Damp, who restricted his short article of 1984 to the Valdivia culture. The trade of spondylus, the ceremonial Engoroy site of Salango and the “Señorio de Salangome” constitute the main themes treated in the publications concerning the southern part of the present Manabí province. It is in this research context that we have undertaken our study. Beginning with a survey launched in 2002, we aimed to highlight the settlement pattern during nearly four millennia as well as the importance of the hinterland in the constitution of socio-political entities on the Ecuadorian coast.
