摘要：This study outlines the history of human contrast sensitivity studies that are paramount in psychophysics. It shows the significance of contrast sensitivity measurements for interpretation of perception processes, their role in the discovery of psychophysics laws, and also significance for evolution of television technology and medicine. It gives a short review of research in basic fundamental factors limiting humans contrast sensitivity, such as external interference and internal noise.
