摘要：The article critically analyses the concept of personality formation developed by L.I. Bozhovich. The process of personality development in ontogenesis is regarded as a gradual increase in the degree of one's inner freedom. Analysing L.I. Bozhovich's works enables the author to trace the developmental logic of Bozhovich's concepts, revealing three different (though not contradictory) answers to the question: how is inner freedom possible? The phases and mechanisms of personality development in ontogenesis as explored by L.I. Bozhovich are discussed as well.
