摘要:The paper emphasizes the importance of V.P. Zinchenko's explorations of the problem of comprehension of meaning and describes his approach to defining different types of comprehension: natural, cultural, and creative. Following the discussion — initiated by Zinchenko — on insufficient explorations of creative (perform- ing) comprehension in psychology, the paper suggests analysing the specificity of L.S. Vygotsky's technique of a reader's critique in his interpretation of Hamlet. At the same time the paper stresses the need for a multilevel approach to text organization and identifies the main issues around which the analysis of Hamlet's meaning is built: 'internal and external', 'second birth', 'psychological automatism', 'prototypical myth', 'pantomime', 'jux- taposition of different planes of plot development'.
