摘要:The article examines the relationship of content and intensity of ethnic auto-stereotypes and ethnic identity during adolescence on the example of Russian and Jewish ethnic groups. Applying the focus-groups allowed identifying cognitive and emotional components of social representations of a typical representative of the in-group and out-group in Russian and Jewish teenagers. The bipolar scales were constructed based on the characteristics and qualities identified during the focus-groups. Administering these scales allowed examining the content of ethnic stereotypes among these two ethnic groups. The results indicate that there is a correlation between the intensity and content of the auto-stereotypes and the type of ethnic identity of adolescents, intensity of affective and cognitive components of ethnic identity.
