摘要：The article reveals the nature of addictive behavior, and the role of early psychological trauma in its formation. The materials of the article deal with the common strategies for working with addictive children and adults. Particular attention will be paid to a unique theoretical and therapeutic model developed by Professor Marilyn Murray (USA). "The Murray Method" is based on the author’s therapeutic experience and extensive work with a wide range of clients. It provides a clear and logical explanation of the childhood traumatic experiences, the effects of which lead to the formation of various forms of addictive behavior. The proposed method is recommended for individual and family therapy, for working with a wide range of co-dependent clients, groups and families.
