摘要：The paper discusses the outcomes of the study aimed at exploring the impacts of older adolescents on the effectiveness of primary prevention of substance abuse in younger adolescents. The study was carried out on students of Moscow schools within the “Peer to Peer” substance abuse prevention programmes. The results of the study revealed that the social psychological traits of 11-14-year-old adolescents that contributed to their susceptibility to drugs had weakened significantly over the course of the programme, and the effect was even greater when there were 15-16-year-old adolescents acting as co-instructors in the programme. As for the 15-16-year-olds themselves, their participation in the primary prevention programme as co-instructors obviously opened new possibilities for personal growth.
