摘要：No one has ever accused me ofbeing shy. In fact, I considermyself a raging extrovert.Despite my outgoing nature, I, likemany librarians, sometimes feeluncomfortable marketing myself, sharingmy value, and networking effectively.In spite of how comfortable I am talking,I am not always comfortable talkingabout myself. Because part of thechallenge of advocacy and marketingis communicating our own value aswell as the value of ourinstitutions and of ourprofession, I decided toinvestigate how to becomemore adept at this.
