摘要:Every single member of AALL,no matter what kind of librarywe work in, has one thing incommon: we were once new to theprofession and to AALL. Often, new lawlibrarians find that the transition fromwhat came before (school, work inanother field, the practice of law, life)into law librarianship can be rewardingbut somewhat anxiety-inducing. Ourprofessional “norms” are frequentlylearned on the job or through trial anderror, and some of us only have contactwith other law librarians through AALL.For many of us, the Gen X/Gen YCaucus was one of the few places we felttruly at home during our first years aslaw librarians; the caucus was a goodmix of new and newer librarians andestablished members of the organization, and everyone was open to making newfriends and sharing knowledge.
