摘要:Attending your first AALL AnnualMeeting & Conference canbe incredibly overwhelming, especially if you are anything like I wasthe first time I attended: alone, withouta job, and with no idea of what to expectat a national conference. I was 26, aboutto graduate the following December withmy master’s in library science, and thelibrary where I worked as a studentemployee sent me to the conferencein the hopes that I would make someconnections and be able to find ajob. They were not hiring and could onlyallow me to remain as a studentemployeefor so long after graduation.I was hopeful I would find somethingat the conference.
