摘要:T he low- or middle-income t rap phenom- enon has been w idely studied in recent years. Alt hough economic growth during the postwar period has lifted many low-income economies from povert y to a middle-income level and ot her economies to even higher levels of income, very few count ries have been able to catch up wit h the high per capita income levels of the developed world and stay t here. As a result, relat ive to the U.S. (as a representative of the developed world), most developing countr ies have remained, or been "trapped," at a constant low- or middle-income level
