摘要：Wireless networks are gaining popularity to its peak today, as the users want connectivity in terms ofwireless medium irrespective of their geographic position. There is an increasing threat and various attacks on theWireless Network.The main aim of this paper is to provide a survey of wireless network and attacks that occur on it.This paper also provides an overview of routing protocols being used in wireless networks. It also discusses the attackson access point in wireless network. Ad-hoc network must have a secure way for transmission and communicationwhich is quite challenging and vital issue. Ad-hoc network are rapidly gaining popularity because they do not rely on apre-infrastructure and can be deployed spontaneously. Application of ad-hoc network ranges from offices to modernbattlefields. Security is a serious concern in wireless networks due to its open nature of communication.
