摘要:The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between leader-member exchange and academic job performance in the Iraqi technical colleges and institutes and evaluate the mediation effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between leader-member exchange and academic job performance. This study adopted a quantitative approach using survey instruments. From the population of academic staff working in 18 Iraqi technical colleges and institutes, a total of 750 questionnaires were distributed. The total number of usable questionnaires was 419. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationships between leader-member exchange and academic job performance. The results revealed that job satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between leader-member exchange and academic job performance.
