摘要：By example learned from the US, the EU and other advanced countries, arguments were brought forwardconcerning the need for a further development of the Republic of Moldova on a scientific basis. The actual condition ofthe two basic pillars of a sustainable development, which are the field of science and innovation and the field of educationof a high-skilled scientific personnel has been compared with that of highly developed countries. Data have beenpresented regarding the scientific personnel education in the period between 1993 and 2014. The strong and the weakside of this state of things have been highlighted. Solutions to improve the situation in this area have been proposed
