摘要:The goal of this study was to compare the extracts of Tagetes erecta, garlic-pepper-mustard, Bacillus thuringiensis v. Kurstaki and EM-plus for the control of the nematode Radopholus similis, one of the most important in banana crops (Musa AAA). The study was carried out at the organic banana project at EARTH University, Limón, Costa Rica. The experiment was conducted in a completely randomized block design with four blocks and five treatments (four products and the control). Every treatment had 31 three-year-old banana plants. Two applications of the treatments and three root samplings were done to determine the population of R. similis; one at the beginning of the experiment and two samplings three months after each application. The quantity of roots in the plants sampled (total and functional) and, at the end of the experiment, the biometric information were determined. The statistical analysis did not show significant differences among treatments in any of three samplings for the populations of R. similis. There was no difference in the quantity of functional roots among treatments in the first and third sampling; the second sampling showed significant differences between the treatments, plants with T. erecta and garlic-pepper-mustard extracts had the highest percentage of functional roots. The analysis of the variables of plant growth also did not show significant differences between treatments.
