摘要：Atheoretical and largely descriptive nature of DSM-IV offered good reliability. Moving further ahead DSM-5 hoped that including risk factors and clinical manifestations will increase the validity of the diagnostic system. Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) is one such cluster introduced to describe some of the disorders with onset in infancy and childhood. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been moved from the category of disruptive disorders to NDD. In this article we will examine the changes made to ADHD and its implications.
