摘要:Low visibility is the primary cause of the driving accidents. Current image enhancement methods can not effectively improve driving visibility. An image enhancement method based on symmetrical logarithm transformation is proposed to improve this situation. Symmetrical logarithm transformation based on two-scale luminance distribution features is used to obtain an enhanced image. The advantages of proposed method include its self-adaptive ability to varied brightness, low computational complexity and parameter-free input. Experimental results show that the performance of proposed method is more robust and effective than that of other state-of-the-art image enhancement methods.
