摘要：En este artículo se aportan numerosos datos nuevos sobre la biografía de Juan de Arce de Otálora. Valgan de ejemplo dos: primero, que no aparece en los Actas de Claustros y Juntas de la Universidad de Salamanca como catedrático de tal institución; y segundo, que no casó una sola vez, sino dos. La primera de ellas con Isabel de Saavedra, de la que enviudó y quedó con tres hijos. Y la segunda, con la ya conocida Catalina de Balboa, que también era viuda y con tres hijas de Diego de la Dehesa, su primer marido
其他摘要：This article offers new and substantial documentation on the life of Juan de Arce de Otálora. Here are two examples: first, that he does not appear in the Actas de Claustros y Juntas [Proceedings of the Convocations and Meetings] of the University of Salamanca as professor in that institution. And second, that he did not marry once, but rather twice. His first marriage was to Isabel de Saavedra, who died and left him with three children. Afterwards, he married the spouse scholars already knew about, Catalina de Balboa, who was at the time a widow with three daughters from her first husband, Diego de la Dehesa
