摘要:Advances in guidance, navigation and control technology make it possible to successfully use UAVs in a growing range of applications. The University of Minnesota UAV Research Group uses UAVs as test platforms to research and develop GNC avionics. This safe, cost effective research would not be possible with manned aircraft or simulation-only analysis. In this second article of a two-part series, researchers at UMN-URG illustrate how they use UAV test platforms to develop, test and certify new avionics and GNC algorithms for safety-critical systems
