摘要：One of the important issues in wireless sensornetworks is the inherent limited battery power ofthe network sensor nodes.The battery power in thesensor nodes plays an important role in increasingthe lifespan of the nodes.Hierarchical routingprotocols are the best known protocols to minimizethe energy consumption.Leach is one of thefundamental protocols in the clustering techniquehierarchical routing protcols that can be used forminimizing the energy consumed in collecting anddisseminating.We have surveyed the state-of art ofdifferent hierarchical routing protocols that havebeen developed from the LEACH.This paperhighlights some of the drawbacks and issues inLEACH and discuss how these issues areovercomed by the descendants of LEACH.Thispaper also compare the features and performanceissues of all hierarchical routing protocols
