摘要：This paper is an introduction to the architecture of thenatural language interfaces to databases (NLIDBS). Firstthe concept of Intelligent Databases (IDBS) is presented.Some advantages and disadvantages of NLIDBS are thendiscussed followed by the discussion of the componentsof NLIDB. Comparison of NLIDBS to formal querylanguages, form-based interfaces, and graphicalinterfaces are then discussed.
