摘要:In this paper, an optimal design of linear phase digital finiteimpulse response (FIR) filter using Modified Particle SwarmOptimization (MPSO) has been presented. In the designprocess, the filter length, pass band and stop band frequencies,pass band and stop band ripple sizes are specified. Sometimesthe gradient based optimization techniques are not effectivefor designing filter. An evolutionary method is introduced tofind the optimal solution of FIR filter design problem. MPSOis a global stochastic searching technique that can find out theglobal optima of the problem. A simulation results reveals theoptimization efficacy of the algorithm for the solution of,highly non-linear, and constrained filter design problems. Thedesigned filter is then applied on the audio application for upsampling of the audio signal. MATLAB toolkit functions areused for implementation of proposed algorithm
