摘要:The rampant growth in use of four-wheelers has led to anincrease in road congestion at all signal points. In the light oftime constraints, drivers find an easier way out by breakingsignals. Presently, our defense against such practices lies at themercy of traffic policemen stationed at various signal points inthe city and monitoring of surveillance cameras. However,constant manual monitoring is not always feasible because oflimited manpower. Also, while the use of CCTV cameras onlyaids in monitoring, fine deduction is still looked after byindividual traffic authorities. This system of automatedsurveillance is based on wireless RF transmission andcircumvents the need of expensive wired fiber optic cables.The three key elements of this system include (a) infraredtransmitter and sensor (b) a dual state transmitting system (c) acontrol room managing the data base. The motion of avehicle passing the pre-established line near the signal isjudged by the infrared arrangement, including the strip ofsensors on the lower surface of the vehicle under considerationand the IR transmitter on the surface of the road, precisely onthe above mentioned limiting line at the signal. The presenceof the vehicle thus detected will be accounted for by atransmitter installed in it, thus changing its regular state oftransmission and providing the unique number of theoffender’s vehicle to the control room. The transmission stageworks on the RF frequency. FSK modulation being a reliableand apt scheme has been used for the purpose of modulation ofdata. This brings us to the next stage of the project dealingwith the data base matching and there after sending a plan ofaction to the undersigned bank of the user wherein the finededuction process will be initiated. Thus in this paper, wefocus on simplifying surveillance by introducing automatedmonitoring system
