  • 摘要:Real Time person tracking is an important building block in advanced humanoid robots. The applications extend to small area security system like offices, hospitals, prisons, industries etc. There are various methods and some of them are now used in smart mobile applications using GSM-GPS, Sensor networks, vision based tracking system etc. But these are expensive to be used in day-to-day life. As far as concerned with the security systems the investments are high and in the case of humanoids the monitoring system is too huge for an automated machine. To overcome these issues, a simple hardware build-up is proposed. The proposed system is Real Time person location detection and tracking system consisting of ZIGBEE modules and GPS interfaced to ARM9 development board with an RTOS (WinCE or Embedded LINUX). The whole system has two parts namely Monitoring system and the Tags. Monitoring system acts as a server which processes the data received from the tags. Tags are match box size devices transmitting the locations based data to the monitoring system. This system has its own advantages of small size, Low power consumption, range flexibility and GUI. The measured results indicate that the developed system can track a person up to 20m with an accuracy of 5m
