摘要:In digital image processing MedicalImaging is one of the most significantapplication areas. For visualizing andextracting more details from the given imageprocessing of medical images is much moresupportive. Several techniques are existingnowadays for enhancing the quality of medicalimage. Contrast Enhancement is one of themost functional methods for the enhancementof medical images. Various contrastenhancement techniques are in practice, someare as follows: Linear Stretch, HistogramEqualization, Convolution mask enhancement,Region based enhancement, Adaptiveenhancement is already available. Based oncharacteristics of image choices can be done.On comparing my approach with the existingpopular approaches of adaptive enhancementand linear stretching, it has been concludedthat the proposed technique is giving muchbetter results than the existing ones. Further,the technique is seed dependent so selection ofseed is very important in this algorithm. Aseed chosen in darker regions will give betterresults than the seed chosen in brighter region,because it is assumed that user will requireenhancing the darker portions of the image.Furthermore, zooming window and edgegrowing method is used to visualize the edgesmore precisely which gives an addedadvantage is to doctors for better perception ofX-ray
