摘要:Cloud Computing is in vogue. But what is it? Is itjust the same thing as outsourcing the hosting ofWeb applications? Why might it be useful and towhom? How does it change the future ofenterprise architectures? How might clouds formthe backbone of twenty-first-century ecosystems, virtual organizations and, for a particular example, healthcare systems that are truly open, scalable, heterogeneous and capable of supporting theplayers/ providers both big and small? In the past,IT architectures took aim at the enterprise as theirendpoint. Perhaps now we must radically raise thebar by implementing architectures capable ofsupporting entire ecosystems and, in so doing, enable these architectures to scale both downwardto an enterprise architecture as well as upward andoutward. We see cloud computing offerings todaythat are suitable to host enterprise architectures. But while these offerings provide clear benefit tocorporations by providing capabilities
