摘要：This white paper will help service providers understand the benefits and economics associated withimplementing a Next Generation Network (NGN). Convergence is the process of interconnection oftraditional switched circuit networks (the PSTN and mobile networks) and packet-switched networks basedon the Internet Protocol (IP) for routing.Network evaluation is the starting point for any network migration. Before planning for migration, design orimplementation, the existing network should be evaluated. The evaluation could include operation supportnetwork, existing equipments and resources, services network, signaling network, bearer traffic network andsynchronization network. According to the evaluation results a proper strategy, plan, and solution can beformed.
