摘要：Intrusion detection is an essential and important technique in research field. We propose many intrusiondetection methods and systems in the literature. In this paper, we give a structured overview of various aspects ofintrusion detection. Due to which a researcher can become quickly familiar with every aspect of intrusion detection. Wegive attacks normally identified by intrusion detection systems. We differentiate existing intrusion detection methodsand systems based on the underlying computational methods used. We briefly describe and compare a large number ofintrusion detection methods, techniques and systems. In addition, we also discuss tools which are used by networkdefenders and datasets.
