摘要:Quantum Dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the emerging trends in the field of nanotechnologywhich help to overcome the limitations of CMOS technology. QCA is simple in structure having significantly lesserelements as compared to CMOS design. It has the potential for attractive features such as faster speed, smaller size andlow power consumption than transistor based technology. Quantum-dot cellular automata have a simple cell as thebasic element. The cell is used as a building block to construct gates, wires, and memories. By taking the advantages ofQCA are able to design interesting computational architectures. Unlike conventional computers in which information istransferred from one place to another by means of electrical current, QCA transfers information by propagating apolarization state. This paper proposes a detailed design and analysis of digital circuits such as combinational andsequential circuits for quantum-dot cellular automata.
