  • 摘要:The paper gives a detailed study of a well known energy efficient routing protocol called Hybrid EnergyEfficient Distributed (HEED)[6], in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks. The protocol is based on the concept ofclustering. First of all, the main technique of HEED protocol has been explained. Further, we have observed andanalysed the effects of changes made on certain parameters like, number of sensor nodes in the network, the networkarea and the position of sink or the base station. Based on all these, graphs have been plotted to show the effect on thenetwork lifetime and the number of cluster heads in the network.
