摘要：With increasing popularity and applicability of wireless sensor networks, the limitations which restrictthe lifetime of network are also arising. It is observed that the energy utilized in transmission is more than processingthe data in wsn. So, many approaches are proposed to tackle the problem of power consumption, used whiletransmission. One of the approaches include the compression of data to be transmitted and recovery of it at sink node inwsn. Under this, different data compression algorithms which are compatible for wireless sensor network are describedwhich helps to save energy in wireless sensor network.
