  • 摘要:The hybrid technology that combines the OFDM and FSO is helps to improve the overall performanceof the communication system. FSO is the free space optical communication system where that transmit the data in theform of optical signals. The maximum BER of a FSO system will improved by using OFDM in it. The orthogonalfrequency division technique used either BPSK or QAM modulation techniques. The comparative analysis of thesystem performance by using these two modulation schemes in OFDM which included in the FSO were carried out inthis paper. The spectral efficiency provided by these two modulation schemes are different. FSO is a wirelesscommunication technique which can be used for both short distance and long distance communication. The hybridtechnology that combine both OFDM and FSO is complex but highly efficient. The comparative analysis of bit errorrate versus signal to noise ratio is carried out. These shows that the OFDM using QAM in FSO provide betterperformance than that of PSK.
