摘要：Chat environments pose a challenge to knowledge extraction and data mining due to their very unstructured format and usage of a large variety of slang. In this paper we present a method to extract and derive useful information from a chat session and also perform the sentiment analysis of that chat with respect to the topic being discussed. This provides information on whether the chat session was sentimentally positive towards a topic and has several possible applications in analytics
