摘要：Cloud Computing is being used widely all over the world by many IT companies as it provides variousbenefits to the users like cost saving and ease of use. But with the growing demands of users for computing services,cloud providers are encouraged to deploy large datacenters which consume very high a mount of energy. High energyconsumption increases the total cost of ownership (TCO) for service provider. Due to advantages and properties ofcloud computing it is becoming a cost and performance efficient platform for executing scientific workflows. Thispaper reviews energy efficient approaches in cloud datacenters using virtualizat ion and energy aware execution ofscientific workflows.
