摘要:A lcohol misuse among young people is a growing cause of concern to health care professionals, teachers and policy makers because of the associated health risks and anti- social behaviour. There are long term benefits of delaying the start in drinking in young people: for example, they are less likely to engage in health risk behaviours (Grunbaum et al, 2004) and to later become dependent on alcohol (Grant et al, 2001). Recent government policy charges local communities with tackling alcohol related disorder (Department of Health, 2011). This article evaluates an innovative local authority project intended to reduce underage drinking that has been running for over two years.
