摘要:This pa per represents a d etai led stud y a nd descript ion o f a new sola r-b ased air-conditio ning technique. It uses sola r energ y to pro duce co ld o r hot a ir. This technolo gy can b e used to reduce the energy consumpti on a nd environment al impact of mechanical co oling system. The use of Desiccant coo ling is used to perform air dehumid ifica tion operatio n b y utilizing lo w g rade hea t so urce. The solar desiccant air conditio ner uses sola r power a s the ma in energy source t o help in the thermodynamic heat transfer p rocess as wel l as heat tra nsfer pri ncipl es to convert ambient air into coo ling air. Wi th o ur const ruct ed d esig n we ha ve seen tempera ture as well as humid ity l evel drop s throug hout the desiccant cooling system. A sig nificant adva ntag e o f thi s syst em is, it ha ve no moving p arts consequentl y they a re noiseless, no n-corro sive, cheap to ma inta in, l ong lasti ng in add ition to being enviro nmental ly friend ly with zero ozone dep letio n as wel l as zero glob al wa rming potentials.
