摘要:The purpose of thi s pa per is to outline our research and so lutio n to the prob lem of designing an Image Retrieval System based o n comb ined fea tures (co lor, texture) of ima ge. Due to the massi ve increa se i n image data base sizes, a s well as its bro ad fo rma tion in va rious ap plica tions, the need fo r CBIR development arose. First ly, this p aper fra mework a d escri ptio n of the low level features of an image; tex ture, co lor. The colo r feature is extracted usi ng hi stogram method, a nd makes a feat ure vecto r of colo r. T hen Texture fea ture are extra cted using GLCM (Gray Level Co - occurrence Ma trix), and ma ke a fea ture vector o f texture. And then co mbi ned b oth (co lor, texture) feature vector. aft er that we use Eucli dian dist ance formul a fo r ca lcul ating distance b etween the co mbined fea ture vector(co lor, tex ture)of q uery image and combined fea ture vector(co lor, tex ture) of database image .After that, we sort these dista nce and most simila r fo ur i mages are displayed tho se ha ve least distance. Our final result was a Mat Lab buil t software ap plica tion that retri eves ima ges from the d atab ase.
