During the monitoring of dragonfly species of the Community interest at 6 sites in southern Slovakia in 2007, 16 species of dragonflies and damselflies were observed. Among them 3 are species of the Community interest ( Cordulegaster heros Theischinger, 1979, Gomphus flavipes (Charpentier, 1825) and Ophiogomphus cecilia (Fourcroy, 1785) ); 4 species are protected by law; 4 species are red listed in Slovakia .
