In 2006 and 2007 we studied weevil assemblages of Scots Pine ( Pinus sylvestris ) with regard to species richness, assemblage structure, topic and trophic requirements as well as bionomics of particular species. The weevils were collected at five study sites using the beating method. A total of 20 weevil species (belonging to three families: Anthribidae, Apionidae, Curculionidae) were recorded, of which 14 species (70%) are arboricolous as adults. Pine specialists and wider specialists of coniferous trees were represented by eleven species. The pine specialist Brachyderes incanus was the predominating and euconstant species. The weevil fauna of pines growing on open sand dunes exposed to insolation is relatively poor both qualitatively and quantitatively. No statistically significant differences were detected between species diversity indices characterizing weevil assemblages at particular study sites .
