Altogether, we recorded 156 spider species. Several of them are rare in Slovakia. Our data suggests high biological value of this territory, specifically high value of the Žihľavník Natural Reserve. Diversity of spider species living in the territory of Žihľavník – Baske (Strážovské Vrchy Mts., Slovakia, Europe) was investigated at 7 study sites. Material was collected using several sampling techniques.
