The research was focused on the impact of the small dams on the structure and ecological parameters of the permanent macrozoobenthos community in the inflow and outflow of these dams. The quantitative samples were taken in the inflow, outflow and littoral zone of the reservoir Doľany, Suchá nad Parnou, Dolné Dubové, Kuchyňa, Lozorno and Vývrat from September 2008 to august 2009. There were identified 69 species, which were classified to 20 families and to 7 higher taxonomic groups. The gammarid amphipods were the dominant group in the inflows and outflows of these reservoirs. Oligochaetes were dominant in the littoral zone of dams. In the most cases, the littorals are evidently poorer in the species number and individuals, but there were found the highest values of community evenness. The non-metric multidimensional scaling (nMDS) showed that the communities of the littoral zones of reservoirs are evidently separated from the communities of their inflows and outflows. The least changes in the permanent benthic communities were recorded between inflow and outflow of the reservoirs Suchá nad Parnou and Dolné Dubové and the biggest changes of community were between inflow and outflow of the reservoirs Kuchyňa a Vývrat.
