其他摘要:Distribution of noble crayfish ( Astacus astacus ) at 380 sites of running water in Slovakia were analysed with aim to identify altitudinal distribution of noble crayfish. The highest altitude of crayfish occurrence in Slovakia is reaching 600 meters, curiously without specific relation to the overall height of surrounding mountains, thus narrow streams of upper hill areas are inhabites as well as wide streams of submountaineous areas in high mountains. There are 4 regions in Slovakia, where noble crayfish does reach the upper limit of its occurrence - Liptov (Veľká Fatra NP) a Orava at north, Javorie in central Slovakia, and the Laborecká vrchovina at eastern Slovakia. All sites belong to Western Carpathian region.
