摘要：Tartışma yöntemi, öğrencilerin bir konuyu anlayamadıklarında veya kavrayamadıklarında konunun eksik yönlerini pekiştirebilmek veya açığa kavuşturabilmek için geliştirilmiş bir yöntemdir. Bu yöntem öğrencilerin dinleme, fikir yürütme, sorgulama, eleştirme, sentezleme ve değerlendirme gibi yeteneklerini geliştirerek bilişsel ve duyuşsal alanlarının gelişmesini sağlamakta ve öğrencilerin bildiklerini çekinmeden ortaya koymalarını sağlayarak onların konuşma ve hitap güçlerini de arttırmaktadır. Araştırmada; sınıfla tartışma yöntemi ile grupla tartışma yönteminin bazı demografik değişkenlerde göz önünde bulundurularak akademik başarıya olan etkileri karşılaştırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada ön test-son test deney kontrol gruplu deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Hakkari Üniversitesi Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu, Çocuk Gelişimi bölümünde okuyan 50 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarında öğrencilerin tartışma yöntemleri ile ilgili olarak yeterli bilgiye sahip oldukları, sınıfla yapılan tartışmanın, grupla yapılan tartışmaya göre bilgi bakımından daha başarılı olduğu gibi sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.

This method of listening to students' ideas, execution, inquiry, critical thinking, synthesis and evaluation as well as enhancing their ability to provide the development of cognitive and affective areas by providing students and their speech and appeal to transpose know without hesitation that increases the strength. Research, group discussion method with the method of the class discussion by considering some demographic variables to compare the effects of academic achievement. Pre-test and post-test control group experimental research design was used. The study group, Hakkari University School of Health Services, Child Development, composed of 50 students who were studying. Research results that they have sufficient information about the students' discussion methods, the class of the debate, the discussion group, as well as by the more successful results have been achieved in terms of information.
