摘要:This paper explains the use of a discourse-based method to teach reading in ESL and EFL settings and shares insights from the classroom about this teaching experience in both these settings. It compares students’ backgrounds, the teaching methods and materials with a special focus on the modifications made in the EFL setting. It also discusses group dynamics in the EFL classroom and the implications for teaching and learning.
