摘要：This paper presents results of research aimed at presenting the opinion of hospital managers about the influence of information and communication technologies development level (referred to as technological context) on the increase of health care entity intangible assets. Hospital intangible assets include kn owledge, personnel skills, organizational structures and procedures, hospital reputation (i.e. hospital perception by patients and other stakeholders – such as sponsors, investors etc.). The paper presents the results of the case study type research in selected Polish hospitals that differ in size, location and development level of information and communication technologies utilized. The respondents included hospital board representatives, who confirmed the positive impact of the information technology level on the increase of hospital intangible assets. The results from this qualitative research can provide a starting point for more specific quantitative studies
