摘要：THE DRINKING TRADITIONS and trends aresimilar in Russia and in Finland. People usedto drink large quantities of hard liquor butless frequently, whereas now they drink morefrequently but the drinks are not as strong –but not everybody and not everywhere.Changes in drinking habits are closelyconnected to changes in society and culture ingeneral. The changes in alcohol consumptionhappen in the context of economic growth,increased prosperity and wider availability ofalcohol. Despite economic growth, alcoholconsumption has declined in many countriesover the past few decades. It has decreasedespecially in the wine-producing countries insouthern Europe.
