摘要:The paper considers alternative constructivism as a possibility of theoreticalstarting point regarding education as a factor of interculturalcommunication. The introductory part of the paper deals with Kelly’spersonal construct theory permeating the arguments in favour of thetheoretical research thesis referring to the issue of the extent the pluralismof European culture space interferes with national culture througheducation. Furthermore, the paper considers the way pedagogy has beensearching for more comprehensive self-observation, self-reflection andself-determination on its way to self-change in order to ensure freedomof personal action according to contemporary philosophical discussions.The importance of education as a factor of intercultural communicationhas been supported by the outcomes of an explorative empiricalresearch, which is an element bonding all the reflections in the text. Finally,the key competences for intercultural communication have beenstated in the paper.
