  • 摘要:In mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), the networktopology changes frequently and unpredictably due to thearbitrary mobility of nodes. This feature leads tofailures and route reconstructions, which causes an increase in therouting control overhead. Effective routing protocol needed todeveloped or modifying existing one. Protocols can be divided intotopology- and position-based protocols but thephysical position knowledge effective than others to overcome theunpredictably due to the arbitrary mobilityestimated distance (EstD)-based routing protocol (EDRP)become the best choice between position-based protocolsposition-based protocols used GPS to found the node location butEDRP not used it, this is the reason to used the EDRPreview found that, performance of EDRP on focused on energyefficiency. This is main motivation of this paper investigaevaluation of EDRP. In investigation found packet delivery ratioand the average end-to-end delay give some negative effect, wthe node distribution is very sparse. EDRP used Hello packetwhen the time elapsed from the last broadcasting packetRERR, or some other broadcasting packets) is greater than thevalue of the Hello Interval does the node need to send a Hellopacket. This increase the risk that a sender will transmit a packet(Hello packet) through a broken link that has notby Hello messaging. It is the reason because of that of theperformance metrics of routing protocol affected. Tothat problem this paper proposed used “An Adaptive HelloMessaging Scheme for Neighbor Discovery inMANET Routing Protocols”, that suppression of unnecessaryHello messaging. Based on the event interval of a node,interval can be enlarged without reduced detestabilitylink, which decreases network overhead andconsumption. May also enhance the performance of other metricsof EDRP which is generating the negative effect
